UFL Economy Migration: Player Compensation and System Changes

by Elena Misko

Hello UFL players!

Over the last few articles about UFL’s new update, you’ve learned about key features like the new Player Card system, Link-Up, and the Transfer Market. Now, we’re zooming out to focus on the big picture with updates to UFL’s economy. These changes will simplify in-game currency management and ensure that rewards feel fair and balanced. Read on to learn how these updates will affect you and what compensation you can expect.

In-game economy: what’s staying the same

Good news! Your main currencies and several key systems will remain unchanged, so you can keep enjoying the parts of UFL you already know and love:

Soft Currency (CP — Credit Points): will continue working exactly as it does now. You'll still use Credit Points (CP) to buy and rent footballers on the Transfer Market, purchase Packs, buy club customization items, and receive compensation when needed.

Hard Currency (LP — League Points): also stays the same with all its current uses. You can continue using LP to purchase Packs, buy your Team Pass, purchase Team Pass stars, get club customization items, and for compensation mechanics.

Showdown Tokens remain completely unchanged, and Particles will continue to work as your crafting currency. You'll still use Particles to dismantle skins from series and new upgraded cards, purchase packs with players and items, and for player withdrawal compensation.

What’s being removed

To make UFL simpler and more enjoyable, we're removing some mechanics that added unnecessary complexity to your experience.

Gone are the Premium Days - we no longer offer a subscription, and if you bought one, it will be compensated in League Points. The XP system and progression tied to it have been removed from the game. From now on, Legacy players will be integrated into Basic cards, with or without skins, and their skills applied. XP progression will instead be compensated through Player Packs and soft currency.

Boosters for XP, CP, and RP are being completely removed from the game. This means you won't find boosters available for purchase in the store or in bundles anymore, and they won't appear as rewards in Team Pass or real money bundles on any platform. If you currently have any boosters remaining on your account, don't worry — we'll compensate you with League Points at their current per-unit value. If you happen to receive a booster from old rewards in the future, it will automatically convert to LP instead.

Club Reputation is being completely removed from the project as well. This means Reputation counters will disappear from your squad and Transfer Market interfaces, and base player restrictions on the Transfer Market will be lifted. All the bonus Reputation you've accumulated will be compensated with Credit Points at a conversion rate that ensures you don't lose value.

What’s changing

Some systems are getting updates to work better with the new UFL experience:

We’re changing how Reserve Slots work, and we'll make sure you're fully compensated for any slots you've purchased. Since every player starts with 18 main squad slots plus 5 reserve slots, any additional reserve slots you bought with League Points will be compensated at the same price you originally paid.

Energy is getting simplified. The energy reduction mechanic that happened after completing matches is being completely removed from the game. You won't need any compensation for this change — we're simply removing the auto Energy Recovery from the squad interface and match results screen to make things cleaner. The Energy mechanics during actual matches will remain unchanged, but all skin effects that influenced Energy Recovery or reduction in matches will be removed.

How compensation will work

When the migration happens, you'll automatically receive compensation for removed mechanics and items using the main current currencies:

What Gets Compensated:

  • XP Boosters → LP

  • CP Boosters → LP

  • RP Boosters → LP

  • Premium Days → LP

  • Reputation points → CP

  • All Purchased Reserve Slots → LP

  • Remaining Player Experience → CP

  • Level-up Player Experience → Packs

  • Unused Skill Points → CP

How Compensation Works:

  • Compensation happens automatically by crediting currencies to your account

  • After migration, you'll see two pop-ups:

    1. Information Pop-up: Explains which resources were removed and what they'll be compensated with

    2. Standard Pop-up: Shows the exact amounts credited to your account

  • Migration will automatically start after your first login in update 0.67.0.

This migration is all about making UFL more intuitive, rewarding, and fun to play.
